I consider artists with theatrical and folk art influences.ÌýI mindfully digest vignettes from their time in this world. The depiction of this style of narrative influences how I go about expressing mine.
I think of myself at a younger age, tapping into finding a good, personal,Ìýrelational balance to animus –Ìýthe Jungian concept of the masculineÌýenergy of a feminine person.ÌýThis is a thing which has remained important to meÌýsince I was a kiddo,Ìýeven before IÌýhad a word to describeÌýthe wayÌýI lived.
I re-imagine the significantÌýelements of that era of life; the music that colored it and the subtle symbols of visually communicated empowerment – playing with language and mixing meaning. In recognizing that part of my history, I feel a ridiculous appreciation for youthful potentiality and vitality. This assembled piece is an acknowledgement and representation of dynamis.Ìý
